Horse #2 FOR SALE ONLY
The Hooligan aka Mischief Managed
"Hooligan" is a 2012 Trakehner TB gelding standing 16.1+hh
Owner is military and move sadly forces sale.
Hooligan is ready for the show ring in first level dressage and Elementary Eventing
He is currently in full training and is schooling second and third level dressage movements and has jumped 2'7". He is honest and willing.
Hooligan is a gentleman on the ground. He stands on crossties and is good for the vet and farrier. He enjoys baths and playing with the water hose. He is easy enough for my six year old daughter to lead around.
Hooligan loads and trailers well. He is good to body clip and trim bridle path, whiskers, etc.
Hooligan enjoys both longing and long lining and has extensive experience in both.
Hooligan enjoys turnout. He can live out 24/7 but also has good stable/stall manners. He is currently out in a herd of geldings.
Hooligan has been mostly ridden by adult amateurs and has just finished three months of professional training in dressage. He loves to jump and is forward and willing to the fences. He does not enjoy slamming on his back and pulling on his reins. For this reason, he is not recommended for complete beginners.
He is quiet and has no unfounded spooks. When something is really scary to him, he will stop and look at it. He gets over anything scary very quickly and is happy to go back to work.
Hooligan has participated in our drill team and is happy in a crowded ring of horses or warm up arena. He is also happy to be ridden alone and is not herd bound or buddy sour.
Hooligan loves the trails and will quietly hack out on the buckle. He has been ridden in open fields with no trouble and is great with dogs tagging along the ride. He has not fox hunted, but I feel he would enjoy that job.
